Let’s build the AI the world needs
Let’s put our hearts and minds together to solve important problems!
Hard engineering challenges and pioneering work
The biggest thrill (with a constant worry!) of our work is that we’re mostly working on projects we don’t yet fully know how they will work out—or if they even will!
Most of the time, these are the first such attempts anywhere.
We only know that these are important problems and that they need to be solved.
Currently, for one project, we’re trying to understand how best to photograph clothes at a factory in Sreepur to build a robotics unit that will automatically sort fabrics based on specific defects.
But who knew taking photos of different fabrics with varying patterns, thickness, texture/composition, and color could be so challenging? The light passes through certain fabrics and then bounces back, for example.
Now we’re bringing in product photography experts and experimenting together with them!
We also have very little idea at this moment about how we’ll build the robotics unit: Whether it will have clips as hands or roll-ons—we only know that if we can solve this, the production cost will go down and RMG factories can give jobs to thousands more people.
It has always been like this.
With our previous team, we built AI models for bKash to detect posters, stickers, banners, et al, at street shops; built AI models for Unilever to detect Bangla hand-written shop receipts and then recommend personalized discounts for millions of customers; built AI models for BAT’s factory to detect micro differences of sound, temperature, and vibration to predict when they need to replace the machine parts—and tackled more than ten other challenges like these for clients in six countries.
Earlier this year, with the new team, we designed the data architecture for the largest renewable electricity generation company in Japan, who plans to deploy house robots to collect individual household consumption details and recommend electricity usage to optimize users’ bills.
Each time, we didn’t know how we would collect the data or build the components. But each time, masha’Allah, together with our passionate clients, all these challenges have been successfully resolved.
Since the whole world is still in the early stages of AI adoption, this remains the case. Every project that we take on is potentially a new one for the world.
We are so blessed to be among the pioneers.
Work environment: Always a campus, a lab, and a factory
Have you read No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention by Reed Hastings and Erin Meyer, or Right Kind of Wrong: The Science of Failing Well by Amy Edmondson?
That’s the kind of organization we want to build and strive to be a part of.
We want to create lasting life memories for ourselves. A rich, rewarding experience for everyone.
No matter how long you’d be here. If it’s six months, we aspire that it becomes the six months in your life that you’ll forever look back to and feel enriched. Discovering your potential, making great friends. Lifelong.
It’s your campus, your second home. Here you’ll learn from and fight with each other—and then laugh and cry together.
It must always be a physically and psychologically safe environment. And we’ll need to actively ensure that, always. (It can’t be taken for granted.)
If anyone ever closes any tab on their computer when a senior colleague walks in the room, for example, that day would mean we’ve failed. If you believe you can enjoy a movie or play games, you should be able to do that if you’re behaving well and meeting your deliverables—no matter who sees you. (But do put on a headset unless you’re watching it together!)
We don’t care if you come to the office (unless it’s an ‘all-hands’), but rather whether you behave well and deliver results.
Here, no one works ‘under’ or ‘above’ anyone. (Where does that take place anyway? It’d be physically uncomfortable!)
We want to build a Bell Labs, an Intel. We want it to last for 2,000 years. And produce great work.
We deliver. We work super hard within our 40 hours. We deliver like a factory.
Sounds good? Please share your details below.

Rewards, growth, and learning opportunities
We aim to build an A-list team, and naturally, we want to pay top-of-the-market salaries as our affordability increases.
15% net profit sharing with all team members every year.
If you’re part of any project that wins a patent, you’ll own 33% of it together. You (or your heirs) will forever enjoy royalties from that product, notwithstanding whether you stay afterward.
We’ll cover the full cost of all your approved certification exams and courses.
We’ll also cover the full cost of publications of authorized work papers and travel to approved seminars.
Our current monthly honorarium structure for full-time team members (40 hours per week) is outlined below. These are the Market Anchor (MA) –
Engineer L3 (fresh grads) BDT 85K
Engineer L4 BDT 170K
Senior Engineer L5 BDT 250K
Staff Engineer L6 BDT 350K
Senior Staff Engineer L7 BDT 450K
Principal Engineer L8 BDT 600K
Your individual reward would be based on your skill level, or Compa Ratio (CR), which ranges between 90% and 175%. We believe if you’re a Messi, you should be paid accordingly. There’s no rule that says your Unit Head should get more than you, unless they play at that level, too, of course.
Let’s start the engagement process of getting to know each other!
Please note
There are 12 required questions, but only one that requires you to take some time to write a brief answer (question 7). The rest are dropdowns/quick notes, such as your phone number, email address, date of availability, and so on.
We apologize that, at this time, we’re unable to share individual feedback. (While we believe that after taking the time to carefully share your details, you deserve a response, we simply don’t have the resources now! We hope to be able to start doing that sometime soon.)
We'll never share your data with anyone, period.
Whether we have the opportunity to work with you or not, we wholeheartedly wish you all the very best in your professional and personal life.
